Now in its fifth year, the SC Super 64 Exposure Camp has firmly established itself as one of South Carolina’s premier showcases for rising high school basketball talent. Each summer, coaches, scouts, and players converge to challenge themselves, discover up-and-coming prospects, and raise the level of competition across the region.
What makes the Super 64 unique is its blend of elite exposure and development: young athletes don’t just show off their skills — they test them in real game situations, learn from sharp observers, and stake early claims in recruitment conversations. From explosive guards to bigs with paint presence, the event draws a breadth of rising stars who come prepared to leave their mark.
Over five editions, the camp has continued to grow—not just in size and reputation, but in the quality and consistency of performances. Whether it’s shot mechanics, defensive intensity, or court awareness, the Super 64 remains a place where talent and readiness meet opportunity. Super 64 had to go back to its roots of 1 high school boys camp due to some unexpected circumstances.
Dawson had a solid showing as a smooth combo guard who plays with good offensive feel. He has a natural scoring ability and understands how to find opportunities within the flow of the game. Dawson had a good day at the event and looks poised for another productive season. A player to continue monitoring as his consistency and overall impact develop.
Johnson is currently more about natural ability and flashes than consistent production, but the upside is evident. His combination of size, athleticism, and ball skills allows him to make plays that not every player his size can make. He showed flashes of brilliance throughout the event. The next step is developing a more consistent motor and bringing that level of intensity to every possession. The physical tools and skill flashes make him an intriguing developmental prospect.
Burch is a smooth three-level scorer who has the ability to score from the perimeter, mid-range, and around the basket. He plays with good offensive instincts and doesn’t need a lot of wasted movement to get into his scoring package. The next question is whether he can take another step in overall production and consistency this season. Looking forward to seeing what he brings to Sumter High this year.
Smith was rock-steady at the point guard position and competed at a high level throughout the event. His shooting continues to trend in the right direction, giving him another dimension offensively. Defensively, he is an ultimate competitor who embraces the challenge of guarding the ball and making plays. Smith’s toughness and competitive mentality should make him a valuable piece this season. He looks like a natural fit with Coach McCray at C.A. Johnson, and his return to the court should be worth watching.
Mathis showed a strong shooting package, particularly as a catch-and-shoot threat and two-dribble pull-up scorer. He also showed noticeable improvement defensively, competing with more consistency on that end. His legitimate wing size gives him an interesting college-level foundation. Adding strength and continuing to develop his ball handling will be important, as those improvements could allow him to expand his role beyond being primarily a perimeter shooter.
McClenic was an active, physical forward who consistently competed around the basket. He worked hard on the glass, ran the floor with purpose, and brought energy to his team’s possessions. His activity level gives him a foundation to contribute even when the ball isn’t in his hands. Continued development of his ball skills will be key to expanding his offensive versatility and overall recruiting profile.
Mack is a steady point guard who plays with excellent pace and makes sound decisions with the ball. He doesn’t force the game and understands how to operate within the flow of an offense. He can knock down shots and score when needed, giving him enough offensive versatility to keep defenses honest. His move to RNE should give more people an opportunity to see what he brings to the floor. I expect Mack to be a breakout player this season.
